Congratulations to our Fall 2007 Inductees!
Induction to the Honor Society of Nursing
The Beta Theta Chapter at Large of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, holds induction ceremonies twice a year. Invitations are sent to students or nursing leaders who meet the following criteria:
Undergraduate Students must
- Have completed ½ of the nursing curriculum;
- Have at least a GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 grading scale);
- Rank in the upper 35 percentile of the graduating class;
- Meet the expectation of academic integrity.
Registered Nurse Students must
- Have completed 12 credit hours at current school;
- Have completed ½ of the nursing curriculum;
- Have at least a GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 grading scale);
- Rank in the upper 35 percentile of graduating class;
- Meet the expectation of academic integrity.
Graduate Students (Master's and Doctorate) must
- Have completed ¼ of the nursing curriculum;
- Have at least a GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4.0 grading scale);
- Meet the expectation of academic integrity.
Nurse Leader Candidates must
- Legally recognized to practice nursing in his/her country;
- Minimum of a baccalaureate degree or the equivalent in any field
- Demonstrated achievement in nursing.

Awards: Nursing Excellence & Student Recognition
The Beta Theta Chapter at Large of Sigma Theta Tau International is proud to support the recognition of nursing leaders who excel in leadership, education, mentorship, research and clinical expertise. Nominations can be submitted for individuals who are members of the Beta Theta Chapter at Large and meet the defined criteria. Awardees will be honored at either the Fall or Spring Induction ceremony.
To nominate an individual for one of these awards, use this nomination form to describe how this person meets the award criteria. (Excellence in Nursing nominees must agree to the nomination by completing the Nomination Agreement Form) Deadlines for nomination are as follows:
- Excellence in Nursing Education - February 1
- Excellence in Nursing Research - February 1
- Excellence in Nursing Practice - October 1
- Excellence in Mentorship - October 1
- Excellence in Leadership - October 1
- Student Recognition - February 1 and October 1
